Windows 7 Star wars: Kotor problems

well if i could to work with the update and find away around the first error. I have it set to run as admin and in capability of windows xp server-pack 2
 
Reading through a Star Wars forum I came across a fix for vista. It might work for win 7 too but if it doesn't work check the forum for other possible solutions:
